400 square feet.
Make every one count.
A 20×20 trade show booth gives you 400 square feet to organize product discovery, demonstrations and buyer conversations.
Start my booth projectStart with open sides and visitor flow.
A 20×20 allocation is not automatically an island booth. Confirm the configuration, aisle access and event-specific restrictions. The same area can require a very different layout when one or more sides face another exhibit.
A demo-led layout.
Position the primary demonstration where it can be understood from the aisle. Keep the presenter, screen and participants within the allocated space. Use the remaining area for a follow-up conversation and accessible stock storage.
A meeting-led layout.
If appointments are the priority, reserve practical seating and circulation first. Keep one clear product story visible to passing visitors. Avoid filling the entire footprint with furniture and leaving staff nowhere to welcome someone.
A product-led layout.
Give hero products space and organize smaller items by application. Check the actual depth of counters and shelving in the plan. Product supports, cable management and replenishment access matter as much as the graphics.
Compare nearby booth sizes.
| Size | Area | Planning focus |
|---|---|---|
| 10×20 ft | 200 sq ft | A focused presentation with carefully limited activities |
| 20×20 ft | 400 sq ft | A deliberate balance of demos, products and meetings |
| 30×30 ft | 900 sq ft | Several zones, with circulation and staffing planned together |
What affects a 20×20 booth budget?
Height, finish, screens, custom fixtures and hanging elements can change the scope substantially. Separate the exhibit package from freight, labor and venue services. A price based only on square footage can hide important assumptions.
Before you
take the floor.
Can I fit both a demo and meetings in a 20×20 booth?
Often, but the equipment footprint, seating requirements and visitor circulation determine what is practical. Put the actual dimensions on a floor plan before adding more activities.
